A Day at the Zoo

Today, Ken and I had a lovely time at the Nashville zoo. Ken was kind enough to let me use his camera and learn a thing or two about photography. Apparently, Nashville Channel 5 News decided we were cute enough to report on.....us and a story about tigers :)

here is a link to the news story with a cute lil picture of us.

Making Cookies

Jace and I made cookies together Sunday night. He had heard that the number one Christmas memory was making cookies so he found a recipe on the internet and had grandma buy the ingredients. The cookie dough had cottage cheese in it. There was no sugar in the dough so you really didn't want to lick the bowl. The cookies had a pineapple filling. It was pineapple mixed with cornstarch and cooked. Well, it wouldn't thicken so I kept putting cornstarch in it. I told Jace that I didn't know why it wouldn't thicken. He looked at the package and I had been putting powdered sugar in it instead of cornstarch. We still used it. I bet those cookies were sweet. I took some to school and they were gone by lunch time. I didn't see any in the trash. Jace took some to Cemex too.

Greater Tuna Christmas Party

Saturday night after a day in my college classroom our school had our Christmas party. It was also the Electric Light Parade. We all stood in front of Mountain Annie's and watched the parade. I heard that there were 80 entries in the parade. After the parade we went inside Mountain Annie's and had supper. We had chicken, roast, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, and chocolate cake. Then the play began. It was pretty bad. There were two actors who dressed up as all the characters. At intermission half of the audience left. We stayed of course and really had the best time at the end.
